Our History & Purpose
The Victorian Hands Foundation, launched by Nadia Campbell, in 1994 strives to make the elderly feel loved and appreciated, as well as to make sure that they have not been abandoned by the communities that they served for so many years.Our founder started this organization after watching a 20/20 special on elders who got abused and neglected and felt that something needed to be done! Through youth volunteers, TVHF enhances intergenerational relations.Youth volunteers of TVHF learn how to interact with elders as well as help elders learn about the youth generation.The Victorian Hands Foundation was named in memory of Nadia's late aunt Victoria in dedication to her life and kindness.TVHF is a group of youth and adult volunteers who cherish the elders of our communities and the world. It's sad but true that many elders don't get the treatment they deserve and we at TVHF believe that it's up to us to change that.
