News & Accomplishments 2003

December 2003 - This month our founder is featured in Urban Teen Magazine.

November 2003 - This month our Founder will be presenting the Youth Leader of The Year 2003 as well as be a guest speaker among Rev. Al Sharpton and Author Omar Tyree at the 5th Annual Youth & College Leadership Summit in Baltimore, Maryland.

October 2003 - TVHF volunteers and walks in the Alzheimers Association's Memory Walk.

October 2003 - TVHF walks in the Prospect Park and Central Park Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for the third year!

September 29, 2003 - TVHF is officially a not-for-profit corporation in the state of New York!

September 2003 - Our Founder represents us at the Emerging Business Leaders Summit in Washigton D.C.

September 2003 - Our Founder is awarded the first annual Shining Star Award, given by The Coalition Of One Hundred Black Women.

August 2003 - Brooklyn Parent Magazine interviews the Founder of T.V.H.F for their September Issue, due to hit locations all over Brookyln!

July 2003 - Fordham University & TVHF team up to provide an opportunity for their students to experience the seniors we serve.

July 2003- The Tablet features the work of T.V.H.F and their Founder with a full page article in their "Youth" section which will be read in over 1,000 homes in Brooklyn & Queens!

April 2003 - College Bound Magazine interviews T.V.H.F's Founder for their upcoming Spring 2004 edition.

April 2003 - T.V.H.F wins second place of The Fleet Youth Entreprenuer Award, along with a grant and an all expenses paid trip to the Medweek conference in Washington D.C.

March 2003 - YWCA Community Forum on Young Women Leaders invites our president and her assistant, Corinne to be a part of the panel of young women leaders. The YWCA also featured T.V.H.F's President in their monthly newletter.

February 2003 - T.V.H.F modified their motto from "Youth Advocates For OUR Senior Citizens" to "Generations Uniting Generations"

February 2003 - Our Founder was interviewed by The Daily News about T.V.H.F's service, volunteers and seniors.

February 2003 - Our Founder shares her service experiences for the upcoming revised version of Dale Carnegies "How to win friends and influence people."

February 2003 - BMCC features our Founder's profile on their school website.

January 2003 - Kathryn Weinstein, a graphic design artist creates a logo for us pro bono.

January 2003 - TVHF hosts their first official volunteer training with T.V.H.F facilitator Frances Saunders.
